I upcycled an old cashmere sweater that the moths had gotten to. So incredibly snuggly! Really fun to touch and lots of fun to make. I used felt for the eye patches and the bottom. A vintage blue button I put on the collar. What a sweetie!
I couldn't bring myself to recover this old book cover, so I cut around the water damage and saved the rest for re-use. The size turned out to be 3X5 amazingly, so I added some pre-cut cards and viola! A unique notepad was born.
My favorite color. I think I will add a Monogram to the front of this for my G-ma's birthday present. Up-cycled book cover recovered in cotton-poly fabric. End pages have a purple flowery design. 120 pages in six signatures carefully hand stitched inside.
I love this pattern! It's so crazy/cool! I think I will add a vintage movie projector patch...although I'm not sure if it would just confuse everybody. :)
Hand sewn without a pattern (my design)...thus the wonkiness. Made of this crazy, thick, felted wool, then gray felt for the bottom/eyes. A wise looking kitty wearing a scarf! :)
Coptic stitched in six signatures. Apple cotton fabric covers a upcycled hard cover. End pages are a cool flowery pattern. A felt patch with a steaming hot apple pie is attached to the front. Would make a cool recipe book. :)
My parents are both really hands-on type of people. Growing up, my Mom was always sewing or making music while my Dad was remodeling the house or wood working. I finally tried my hand at sewing and have really liked it so far. My kids really cheer me on! I am just getting into the book- binding hobby and think I have finally found my niche. Thanks for looking! :D
