Cathedral Pillow
I finally finished a Cathedral window pillow! Most of it was sewed by hand so it took me quite a while. I'm really happy with how it turned out thought. :)

Polar Bear Handmade Journal
I made a design on an embroidery hoop of a polar bear and then moved it to book board and sewed in six signatures of heavy drawing paper. It was a fun project and helped distract me from the pain in my back from getting moles removed and stitches right under my tight bra strap. ugh! I'm still recovering but getting better every day.

Embroidery Paisley Fish
I was trying to come up with a good reason to stop crafting because I was in a rut. But I realized that blogging helps me feel connected to the world in a way that makes me happy. Plus, when I'm crafting I feel like I'm producing something rather than just consuming as usual. I may only have four followers, but I am doing this for me. I am crafter, hear me roar!! JK

Embroidering my childhood home
Unfortunately 2D & 3D are worlds apart. Anyway, this is my childhood home on the coast of Oregon. I lived there until 4 months before my 12th birthday. It has only happy memories for me, although the overcast skies and rain were certain to put a damper on any outdoor activity you wanted to do. <3

Christmas Reindeer
I made a toy reindeer to put next to my mini Christmas tree. I love making toys! I wish it was my full time job. I especially like the cute tassels on the sash. It is my dream life to design toys. Maybe someday my imagination will kick in. ;P

Forest Journal
I embroidered trees then added them to a journal. I made the back cover a forest green cotton material to add contrast to the grey front cover. I was really happy with how it turned out, even though it's slightly crooked. :)

Pokemon
My daughter Sylvia created a Pokemon named Oosier (Oo-see-air) that is part deer and part swan. I made a felt image of it just for fun. I also made a felt Pikachu.

Linen Journal with flower paper
I liked the idea of splitting up the flower papers on the signatures. I think it turned out pretty cool.

May flowers embroidery
I'm not sure how to finish this one, but it feels too bare at the moment. I believe I will add some leaves as a finishing touch then add an updated photo. :)

Shadow box birdies
I've been wanting to update the shadow box in my bathroom for a while and I finally did it! I made these little birds while I was on bed rest after my surgery. I watched like 4 movies in the time it took to make these, so the going was really slow. :P

March Green Notebooks
I made some green notebooks to recognize spring and St. Patrick's day. The fabric was really fun to shop for, and I don't think I've ever done this particular binding on the spine. They turned out so cute!

Valentimes fox
Happy Valentimes! I made a picture of a fox using faux fur and felt. The whole month of January flew by without a project. I have an idea for March though, so that should keep me busy. I will keep you posted. ;)

Heart doll
I made a heart shaped doll with the Hillary Lang pattern. It was really fun and challenging. I like making toys so much! I wish it was my full time job, but alas, I must have an office job like everybody else. ;)
