Countdown Tree

My kids spent hours putting together/sewing this Christmas Tree with detachable ornaments to countdown to the big day. ( I had no part in making it.) Their Grandma Kris helped and Josie and Mia took it very seriously until it was done. So Cute!!

Sweater ornament

I bought a wool sweater at a thrift store, which was way too scratchy to wear, so I cut out some small squares, sewed on a sparkly felt star then hand embroidered a little Christmas tree with some french knot ornaments, added a few vintage buttons and sewed the two squares together, added some polyfil and Viola! A dorky pillow ornament. :)

Wonky ornaments

Cross stitched then sewed onto a linen back and stuffed with polyfil. Red ribbon for hangin'. Not perfect, but still, I had fun. They are about 2in. x 2in.

Which does not belong?

A porcupine, I love lamp, a baby whale and the Democrat donkey (Congrats Obama!)
